The Bureau of Citizenship is a subdivision of the Foreign Ministry of New York. The purpose of the Bureau of Citizenship is to help prospective citizens gain citizenship, to keep records regarding who is a citizen,
and to educate the masses on the benefits of citizenship.

Becoming a citizen is easy, but requires participation and commitment.
I. Citizenship Process
1. Reside within New York for at least one continuous month.
- Your nation must reside within New York for thirty days.
- You may not leave for another region during this time period or else the time requirement is reset.
- Must provide proof of residency.
- A Regional Message Board post at least one month old.
- A forum post at least one month old.
- Etc.
2. Post a message on the Regional Message Board stating your intentions. Your statement must include:
- Last three regions your nation was located in.
- A list of your puppet nations.
- (Alternate nations you control.)
- Your reasoning for wanting to become a part of New York.
3. After completing the previous two requirements, send a citizenship request to Foreign Minister Commander Samir who will then put your nation on the next citizenship vote list that will be sent to the Regional Assembly.
- Upon a majority vote of approval by the Regional Assembly, your nation will officially be granted citizenship.
