Within this thread, the laws of the Death Star are accumulated for all to see so that they may obey said laws while in the region of the Death Star.
Guidelines for Laws:
- A law must clearly define the purpose of said law.
- A law must clearly define the consequences for breaking said law.
- A law may not contradict the Constitution.

Law One: (Passed on May 30th, 2012)
The National Rights Act:
- The goal of the National Rights Act is to guarantee that any nation within the region of the Death Star may allow slavery if they so desire.
I. Area of Effect
- Any form of slavery is allowed within the Death Star upon the passage of this bill; however, a nation may ban or allow slavery based on the preference of its government and people.
II. Restrictions
- Several restrictions on slavery will be setup upon the passage of this bill.
1. Slaves may not be transported from one nation to another without the proper authorization of the nation receiving the slaves.
2. A person may not be born into slavery, but if a child of a pair of slaves has nowhere to live then the child may be made into a slave until the age of eighteen.
3. Slaves may not be used to perform any activity deemed illegal by the region of the Death Star or the current nation in which the slave resides.
III. Conclusion
- Slavery is currently within a gray area within the region of the Death Star. The National Rights Act's purpose is to setup preliminary measures for the further governing of slavery within New York and its many nations. The National Rights Acts' does not condemn or applaud slavery and its sole purpose is to setup preliminary measures to facilitate to the desire of the many different nations of the Death Star with their many different customs, beliefs, and policies.

Law Two: (Passed on June 12th, 2012)
Currency Act:
- All national currencies will be replaced by a standarized currency called a StarBuck. StarBucks will come in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 starbucks.
-Coins will be named Starettes. Coins will be given in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 20, 25 and 50 starettes.
- Each nation will have a different-colored starbuck. The starette for each nation will contain a national symbol for that nation.
- No matter what nation you are in, any starbuck from any Death Star nation can be used for any purchase.
-This idea is technically a loose coilation of currency, as it basically creates standards for each nation to follow for its currency and that each nation still has its own independent starbuck. (For example, a starbuck from West Hempstead is a West Hempstead Starbuck.)
- Each starbuck, despite being a loose coilation of currency, will always be equal to the same amount (for example, 1 WH starbuck=1 Commander Samir starbuck) in another Death Star nation with a different starbuck.

Law Three: (Passed on June 13th, 2012)
Independence Act of 2012
Aim:
To gain independence from the mother region of New York at an appropriate time while still maintaining defensive capabilities.
Act:
1. Upon the beloved region of Death Star's reaching of 25 nations, it shall declare independence and split from New York, granted the following provisions are met:
I. The region has at least 7 WA member nations
II. The region has at least 25 members
III. The majority of voting members of the region agree on the declaration - as decided by a vote in the forums.
2. All efforts will be made by Death Star's leader (The People's Republic of Commander Samir) to maintain diplomatic ties with New York through correspondance. The rationale for such action outlined below:
I. Death Star has traditional ties with New York and therefore has interests in remaining close allies
II. Death Star may, when the time comes, need support in the time of war. Close allies such as New York will be imperative to our defence.
III. Maintaining a close correspondance between the two nations will prevent disputes and war between them.
Conclusion:
Providing the conditions outlined in 1. and 2. are met, independence shall be declared by President Samir, promoting the region and resulting in a higher influx of nations in the future.

Law Four: (Passed on June 15th, 2012)
Standard Measurements Act:
-All things sold after December 31st, 2012 in ANY nation of the Death Star MUST use metric system measurements.
-All road signs will be revised to measure by meters and kilometers and not by miles, yards and feet.
-Schools will start teaching metric measurements ONLY beginning in the 2012-2013 school year.
